The bar has been raised again: With the fifth generation of its BMW 7 series luxury saloon, BMW shows how driving pleasure and the joy of lavish proportions fit together perfectly.  The new BMW 7 series is the result of impeccable design and excellent engineering expertise in the areas of transmission, chassis, safety, driver assistance systems and convenience functions. 

Moreover, the high quality and stylishly modern interior ensures that both driving and travelling in the new BMW 7 series leaves a long-lasting impression. The powerful and highly efficient engines and the chassis technology of the new BMW 7 series are unique in the luxury saloon class. At the market launch a choice is available of two petrol engines with twin turbo charging and high precision injection – as a V8 cylinder with 300 kW/407 hp in the BMW 750i top model and as a 240 kW/326 hp in-line six cylinder engine in the new BMW 740i – plus a newly-developed 180 kW/245 hp in-line six cylinder diesel engine with common rail injection via piezoelectric fuel injectors and aluminium crankcase in the new BMW 730d.
